Eikon

A magazine for photography and media art. The bilingual issues (German/English) are divided into two sections: the first section provides a forum for artists with a particular focus on presenting young artists. The second section of each issue is devoted to a specific theme proposed and curated by international experts.

Camera Austria

Founded in 1980 by Christine Frisinghelli, Seiichi Furuya and Manfred Willmann in Graz. At the core of the bilingual magazine (German/English) one finds monographic contributions on key artists and the presentation of young international positions. The magazine also looks at political issues surrounding photography and includes reviews of current international exhibitions and books. The exhibitions (at the Kunsthaus Graz) usually address current topics of social relevance. Public library; The major body of the archives, years 1974 – 2002, was digitalized in 2017, making Camera Austria one of the only, if not the only contemporary art institutions in Austria with their archive available on a hand held device.

Every two years, the magazine awards the Camera Austria-Preis für zeitgenössische Fotografie der Stadt Graz.
